Lunch and snack times at Tiny Town are a happy and social event where the children can develop new self-help skills.
Good eating practices and manners are encouraged!
We feel it is important children are given healthy, nutritious snacks and drinks throughout the day. Our rooms have water available at all times and children in the older groups can help themselves. We have ensured all of the food groups are included and that parents are aware of the daily intake of these food groups so they can supplement their diet at home.
Food allergies and intolerances are catered for as well as dietary requirements due to culture and religion. We work closely with parents to meet the needs of our children, ensuring also the children have access to try foods from different cultures and countries. We have food exploration weeks where children will try foods which they may not have access to at home as well as cooking weeks and providing play sensory experiences with food.
